Local elections debate
Envisioning the future of Tallinn
A debate with the leading candidates of the Tallinn municipal elections.
Political movements in Estonia have had a busy summer and autumn as the municipal elections are held on the 15th October.
This campaign period holds more significance as a new voting group has been welcomed after the voting age was lowered to 16 to participate.
With the elections only a few weeks away, the front candidates for the leadership of Tallinn are steadily lining up.
The British-Estonian Chamber of Commerce has invited candidates to participate in a question and answer panel discussion on what their vision for Tallinn is, and how they plan to implement it.
The debate will be starring our very own James Oates and Paul Keres as good cop and bad cop respectively.
SDE - Barbi Pilvre
Centre Party - Raimond Kaljulaid
Reform Party - Keit Pentus-Rosimannus
IRL - Urmas Reinsalu
The panel will examine topics including the business climate, infrastructure and urban space, investments and quality of life.
Questions from the audience will be honoured as well – you can send them in advance to guarantee they will be asked by emailing or ask them on the spot.
